IPD 001 Power supplies

Hi all,

It seems to be quite quiet on here these days!

I have 2 IPDs at the moment and they both have their own power supplies. I think one may be on it's way out, which got me thinking ... Does anyone have any thoughts on replacing the 75W power supplies with a 150W+ power supply so in the event one dies unexpectedly, you can run both IPDs on a single power supply till a replacement is obtained?

It is probably a better idea to use a single SMPS unit anyway. So yes, a single 150W would be fine and indeed is the way the IPS-003 (dual IPD supply unit) is constructed, using a Meanwell RS150-15.
