Hi All,
I plan to install automated blinds in my renovation and I am jsut starting first fix. I am using Somfy RTS blinds but want to go 24v DC rather than battery. I would like to wire with a mains flex or T&E to the windows to future proof. I really don't want to have a fused spur plate above each window. My electrician is happy for me to have isolation in the loft at the 24v PSU. What have others done to get a cable in the window return? They mostly have new steels that have a large foam core above the window so I am assuming I can drill through the steel, add a gromit and have some sort of outlet for the wire at the back of the window reveal.
Any suggestions for a tidy and compliant install would be most welcome.
