wegotserved.co.uk have a photo and information on the soon to be released Scaleo Windows Home Server box from Fujitsu-Siemens.
Firstly, let’s take a look at it! The unit’s looking a lot more polished than the prototype render we revealed a couple of months ago, with the colours reversed to a black case with silver mesh. The system also looks like it comes with a stand so it can be displayed horizontally or vertically, for easy storage out of sight (but as it looks this good, you may want it on display!)
OK, on to the spec – this is preliminary at this point:
- 4 internal hard drive bays
- Four USB 2.0 ports
- 2 e-SATA ports
- Flexible placement: horizontal and vertical positions
- Low power consumption
- Always available through Fujitsu Siemens Computers Advanced Power Management (instead of Always on)
- Very silent operation
Pricing and availability will be announced at IFA in Berlin later this week.”
