Useful Gadget of the Week: Bluetooth Suction Speaker for Bathroom Bliss

A few years ago we added a Sonos zone to our bathroom.  It’s still performing brilliantly and as most owners will tell you once you have one Sonos zone you’ll soon want more.

But if you’re looking for an inexpensive way of playing some music or podcasts in the shower in the morning then here’s a neat little gadget that will help. The bargain Kinps Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker is an ultra portable wireless stereo pod you can stick to your wall with its sucker mount.  Play your favourite tunes from your smartphone or perhaps boost your iPad’s sound as you watch you favourite TV shows in the bath.  Bathroom bliss for around a tenner.

  1. I bought one of these a while back, battery life is very impressive, ten minutes use a day and I’ve not charged it in around six weeks!

Only limitation is it can only be paired with one device (as far as I can tell) so next purchase is a 2nd gen iPod touch on ebay for around £25 to be the ‘bathroom’ music source, guess that’s the modern day equivalent if having a few books or magazines left by the loo!

  2. I have an old phone wired up to in ceiling speakers in the bathroom, what I really want is a waterproof bluetooth(or wifi) remote control that I can used to skip tracks/ change volume. Closest I’ve seen is the fugoo remote but I can’t find it for sale anywhere.
Anyone have any ideas for a waterproof controller?
The amp and the phone are outside the bathroom for power/water mix reasons!

  3. Thanks for tips
