Here’s more Home Automator Information From Graham Howe…
For those of you that don’t know, HomeAutomator is a web based front end to HomeVision. In future it will do a lot more than just control items through home vision, it will become a fully customisable and integrated home control application, working with multiple hardware and software and accessible from multiple browsers and platforms. Best of all, it can be tailored by the user without any web or programming skills and it is and always will be FREE!
If you would like to download the pre-release version of HomeAutomator or you would like to find out more about it or contribute to the development then please come and join the HomeAutomator yahoo group |
HomeAutomator was demonstrated at the recent UK Home Automation meet and received a very enthusiastic response. The version shown at the meet, which should be considered very much a ‘pre-release’ version, is now available for download.
The application is being developed by Graham Howe and Andy Powell, but if you have experience in web design, graphic design, vb or some other areas then you are welcome to join the development team.
Here is an example of one of the styles used in HomeAutomator, in this case the style is intended to be used on a fairly large device such as a desktop, laptop or possibly a Fujitsu tablet PC. A different style would use much smaller icons and be used on an ePOD or iPAQ or other device.Areas on the images are designated as hotspots and by clicking on a hotspot, commands are sent to the controller.
ABOVE ALL, THIS APPLICATION WILL BE DEVELOPED BY HOME AUTOMATION ENTHUSIASTS SO IF YOU WANT TO SEE A PARTICULAR FEATURE THEN GET INVOLVED! |
