"Logitech is introducing a series of products based on a new-propietary wireless technology called Logitech Music Anywhere wireless technology.

The new products are the Logitech Wireless Headphones for PC, the Logitech Wireless Music System for PC and the Logitech Wireless Music System for iPod.

These new sound products are adding to the current lineup of products that include the Logitech Wireless Headphones for iPod and the Logitech Wireless Headphones for MP3… The Logitech Wireless Headphones for PC comes with a small transmitter that connects to the USB port on a computer, and the headphones, which include an integrated wireless receiver with a range of up to 50 meters (165 feet). Integrated controls, located on the right earpiece, enable people to adjust the volume, as well as play, pause and skip tracks forward and back in Windows Media Player, Musicmatch, WinAmp, iTunes, and RealPlayer.

The Logitech Wireless Headphones for PC will be available in the U.S. and in Europe, beginning in October. The suggested retail price is US$129.99.

With the Logitech Wireless Music System for PC consumers will have three-piece solution for audio distribution at home. A USB music transmitter connects to the PC, while a music receiver plugs into a home stereo receiver or multimedia speakers through a standard RCA port or a 3.5 mm jack. On top of that there is a wireless remote control. Users can then listen to all of their PC audio in virtually any room in the home.

The USB-based PC music transmitter sends audio streams directly to the music receiver at a range of up to 100 meters (330 feet). The system's infrared remote allows people to control their music files from any other room, featuring controls such as volume up or down, mute, play, pause, skip forward and back. The remote works with iTunes, Windows Media Player, Musicmatch, WinAmp, and RealPlayer.

The Logitech Wireless Music System for iPod is a complete, two-piece, plug-and-play solution: a music transmitter connects to any portable music player's standard headphone port and a music receiver plugs into a home stereo receiver or multimedia speakers through an RCA port or a 3.5 mm jack. There's no complicated home network needed.

"The goal with this product is to make it easy for portable music player owners to share their music collections through their high-quality home-entertainment speakers," said Ray Weikel, director of product marketing for Logitech's Audio Business Unit. "The Wireless Music System for iPod is perfect for dinner parties. From the couch or dining room table, people can skip tracks or hop from playlist to playlist, using their player as a remote control."

Last, but not least, the Logitech Wireless Music System for iPod is a two-device solution. The transmitter and receiver are paired at manufacturing, ensuring they will instantly connect when plugged in, and remain connected. The music transmitter sends audio streams directly to the receiver at a range of up to 10 meters (33 feet).

The Logitech Wireless Music System for iPod will be available in the U.S. and Europe, beginning in October. The suggested retail price is US$149.99." Via Geek Zone
