The release of “Windows Powered Smart Displays” (formerly codenamed “Mira” devices) have been delayed. From the Register.
Mira will now receive its US and Asian launch in the first quarter of next year. Microsoft had always intended to introduce the technology in Europe sometime during the first half of 2003″… “Mira devices are intended as wireless companions to desktop systems, allowing remote access via an 802.11b wireless LAN (WLAN) link to PC-based applications such as word processors, email and the internet. Each will sport a large LCD color display, an Intel XScale processor and the Windows CE.NET operating system. At least 15 hardware manufacturers are committed to the Mira concept”
