Philips Dynalite welcomes first UK Dimension dealer – Westerham, Kent, 6 August: After launching its new Dimension dealer accreditation and training framework earlier this year, Philips Dynalite is pleased to welcome the first UK member of this elite group, Lancashire and Oxfordshire-based Morban Ltd. A specialist residential systems integrator, Morban has been working closely with Philips Dynalite for three years to deliver cutting-edge home automation solutions that combine lighting, security, AV, environmental, and communications/media systems.

According to David Rose, Head of Marketing at Morban, applying to become part of the Dimension program was a “no brainer”. “We identified Philips Dynalite years ago as a company we wanted to work with closely,” he said. “They have a tremendous approach to technical excellence, customer service and training, and we want to be working with people who aspire to the same things we do.”

The Philips Dynalite Dimension program provides standardised training, improved access to technical support, and essential marketing support to all accredited companies and individuals—including AV installers, system integrators and electrical contractors. This includes ongoing skills competency testing for nominated sales/project design engineers, programmers and installers, plus a new place in the Philips Dynalite ‘family’.

“For us the accreditation process was fairly straightforward, since we already had a close existing ‘foundation’ relationship,” Rose said. “When the Dimension program was first discussed, it seemed like a natural progression. We’d already done most of the required training, and were happy to continue developing ever closer and more managed ties within the scope of the program. As a result, our excellent technical relationship hasn’t changed in essence—we’re simply building on what was already a collaborative success.”

The relationship between Morban and Philips Dynalite was born out of Morban’s search for the ideal integration platform for the company’s fully integrated home automation solutions. “The Philips Dynalite package is built for the digital age,” Rose said. “Dynalite has always focused on integration with other systems, which is the angle we are coming from as well. We were struck from day one by their superior technical support and training approach. They are ahead of the field and, in many ways, rewriting the rule book for residential systems integration.”

Rose said that Morban is already reaping benefits from its status as a Philips Dynalite Dimension member, with several projects referred to the company as a direct result. The program is also making the company more visible to property developers and consolidating its position in the market.

“The customer and/or end-user wins as well,” said Rose. “With the Dimension program, there need not be any concerns about the quality of the installation, because the installers are fully trained. Moreover, every project has a number and can be referred back to Philips Dynalite for additional support if required. This provides a tremendous insurance policy for home owners and developers alike.”
