TV Catchup Streams 15 Live UK TV Channels

TV Catchup

Back at the start of the year we ran a review of the TVCatchup service.  We ended our piece with a prediction that the “suits” might spoil the fun and it turned out just that way.

But now TVCatchup is back, no longer an on-line PVR, but now free live streaming of 15 UK TV channels.  Read on to get one of our invites to the beta.

There’s a small issue with the aspect ratio of some shows as can be seen from our screen grab above.  All in all though it’s superb quality and a really useful service.

“TVCatchup is a new service which lets you watch live television online. There are currently 15 channels to choose from, it’s totally legal and absolutely free!

So whether you are at uni, on holiday, travelling with work, away from home or are just too darn lazy to move away from your PC, join the revolution and start watching television with TVCatchup today!”

  1. so I’m from the uk but in america on business atm. I can’t sign up. So much for catching up while on the move.

I’ll stick to my sling box thank you very much.

  2. Hi Nigel – SlingBox is great, we use one ourselves. Great for controlling your PVR too.

TVCatchup is totally free and very impressive quality wise. I think its also going to be useful to many people.

As with US services like Hulu that can’t be watched outside the US, TVCatchup will have similar restrictions imposed on it.

We do hear on the grapevine though, that if you have someone in the UK setup an account for you and send you the login details, it will work outside of the UK.

lol, Otto-Mate kind of strange that your name is linked to the link here on this page, in case anyone else doesn’t understand the more people he invites the more chance he stands of wining the prize of a $1000 TV, currently he is in sixth place. Mind you, seeing as that he is outside of the UK I don’t know how he would pick up the prize anyway lol

  4. [email protected] – I’m not really sure what you mean here? This is our site, our comment and as you point out our invite code, nothing hidden there. Automated Home have been covering TVCatchup since the early days when it was a PVR and we make no appologies for trying to bring it to more folk.

Also, I’m not sure where you are getting the info that we’re not in the UK, we are.

    Strange.
