Video: New JUICE iPad Wall Dock Hits Kickstarter

Two Germany entrepreneurs have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for a new high quailty aluminium iPad wall dock.  The “JUICE” will mount and optionally charge your iPad on the wall.

Juice is CNC machined out of a solid block of aluminium then anodised in Silver or Black.  The inventors say it is easily mounted on any wall using only two screws so is perfect for retrofit.

The included user swappable adapter allows the Juice to dock with a 30 Pin or Lightning Apple Tablet and is compatible with the iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4 and iPad Air.

Cable Management is an important part of the design and the makers wanted to clear away messy cables and connections. Depending on the type of installation you can set up the Juice without any visible cables or connectors.

Coming from the A/V Custom Installation we know that the need for iPad installation accessories has increased enormously. Nearly every system is controlled by a mobile device, especially by Apples iPad. But we felt frustrated about the pricing of the currently available wall docks”. Michael explained. With the JUICE they lower the costs by about 70% and bring wall docks to the next level – so that system integrators and technology enthusiasts getting the opportunity to cost-effectively place the iPadTM within a few minutes of installation time.

Great product, if it was available today I’d order one. The problem is that everyone I know keeps their ipad in a case of some sort, what’s really needed is a wall charger that is sufficiently flexible to house all the common cases as well as the “naked” ipad. Best wishes
