(The module tested is the US unit, this operates on frequencies that are not allowed to be used for this purpose in the UK. When using the module for testing purposes I’ve experienced no problems….YMMV).
The unit is a small two button device. It takes two AAA batteries. Inside are the setup switches. It operates on a slightly limited number of house codes, you won’t have any difficultiy finding a free code unless you have a very well populated X-10 system! Along side is a switch for the switch code number. You have a choice of 1-2 (each switch respectivily) or 5-6.
The range is a good 10 metres, this will change depending on what house building materials are in between you and the receiver. My receiver (TM751) is in the middle of the house. I have a good operational distance extending outside. This would be about 6 metres through two brick walls. The unit sends ON, OFF codes for each rocker switch.
Approximate Price £18.00. Available From Laser Business Systems
